Fill light: a supplementary light used in photography that lightens shadows.
Key light (main light): the main source of light
Hair light: a light to brighten hair
Background light: a light to lighten up the background of a photo
Shadowless: when a photo has no shadows 
Hard light: a bright light
Soft light: a dim light
Grey card: a way to produce consistent image exposure and/or color 
Reflector: reflects light 
Diffuser: dims the flash
Intensity: how strong the light is
3:1 lighting ratio: The higher the lighting ratio, the higher the contrast of the image


Direction: the direction the flash faces
Intensity: the strength of flash  
Color: the color of the flash, background
Contrast: the quality of the photo
Hardness: the hardness or strength of flash

1. 2. my subject is animals.   3. I will probably take photos of my own animals in my home, or animals such as deer in my neighborhood. 4. The subject will be inside and outside.  5. Day or night will be used, or both. 6. Natural lighting will most likely be used from outside. 7. all i will need is a camera, nothing fancy. 8.
